  1. Sir,
I joined the Coffee Board, Central Govt. organization under Ministry of commerce on 4.4.1984 as Second Division Clerk. During 1998 I got promotion as Senior Clerk in the pre-revised scale of Rs. 4000-100-6000. I took Voluntary retirement on 5.1.2006 and at the time of retirement my scale was fixed at Rs. 8930 + 2400 Grade Pay.

Sir, kindly let me know whether I am eligible for new MACP since I got only one promotion although I did complete 22 years service at the time of my retirement. If I am eligible what should be my Basic Pay and Grade Pay as on 1.1.2006.

  2. (1)The MACPS is effective w.e.f. 01.09.2008 or on completion of 10, 20 & 30 years of continuous regular service, whichever is later. Financial upgradation will also be admissible whenever a person has spent 10 years continuously in the same grade pay.
(2)The revised pay structure has been changed w.e.f. 01.01.2006 and the benefits of ACPS have been allowed till 31.08.2008. Hence, the benefits of revised pay structure would be allowed for the purpose of ACPS

  3. Sir,
thanks for your kind reply. You have quoted the last sentence in your reply as "the benefits of revised pay structure would be allowed for the purpose of ACPS". Kindly let me know the exact amount of hike I would get on fixing the scale from 1.1.2006 according to ACPS.

  4. I think you are not eligible for ACP as you have not completed 24 year of service period as compulsory for 2nd promotion under ACP.
